Universitas Indonesia in cooperation with AUN Secretariat held “The 3rd AUN-ACTS Steering Committee Meeting” on 24-25 March 2011. The meeting was held back to back with “Workshop on AUN-ACTS Database Accummulation”.  The workshop itself is aimed to fasten the accumulation of available courses offered by AUN Member Universities for AUN Student Exchange Programme.

 

In the meeting, AUN Executive Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantana Gajaseni reported that AUN Secretariat had brought the ACTS to the attention of the AUN policy level and higher education policy bodies; Senior Officials Meeting on Education (SOM-ED), the ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting (ASED) as well as other relevant policy meetings for acknowledgement and support. In addition to that, Dr. Nantana Also reported the commitment of AUN Member Universities on the contribution of 5 full scholarships for outbound students who apply for ACTS student exchange. The criteria of the scholarship were agreed in terms of:

  • Airfare

  • Living Allowance

  • Travel/Health Insurance

  • Accommodation

 

Whereas the host university should provide tuition fee and may consider supporting the student for their accommodation during their stay under exchange programme.

It was also agreed in the meeting to applied ACTS grading scale as a common practice for student exchange among AUN Member Universities. The meeting agreed on the revision of ACTS grading scale as follow:
